A brief CA History: I started Cosmic Awareness in 2003, as a simple ranting comic strip for a now, long-gone website; which had a small, but dedicated following at the time.
Basically, I took old Victorian clip-art and used Windows Paint to have them swear and grumble about politics to each other. They were quite simple and pretty hack. After the site discontinued, I shelved the strip, and it sat in the back of my computer collecting e-dust for almost two years.
Then in 2005, a few old fans of the strip convinced me to resurrect it. Being pissed off at the political climate at the time, I was intrigued at the idea. So, armed with newer, slicker image enhancing programs, gallons of cheap wine and the latest headlines - Cosmic Awareness was back!
I try to update the strips frequently (typically, once or twice a week). However, with life, work and other distractions, updating isn't as easy as it used to be. Besides, the news nowadays is so damned depressing, sometimes it's hard to crack jokes out of it. I consistently find myself staring at the articles in disbelief and horror at the shit that goes on in this world. Its like, all the satire on this friggin' planet can't hide the fact that most humans are evil, greedy bastards.
But, I will try my best.
